HOW WE CAN HELP
Speech Sound Disorders
Does your child have difficulty saying certain sounds or words? Do you, your family, or others outside the home have a hard time understanding what your child is saying? By using a multi-sensory approach, we can help teach your child how to correctly produce sounds so they are able to communicate more clearly and effectively.
Receptive Language
Does your child understand what you say to them at home? Can they follow directions? Do they understand questions and basic concepts? We can help your child better understand the meanings of the words and the language they hear so they can feel successful at home, in school, and out in the community.
Expressive Language
Does your child struggle to find the words they want to say? Does it take longer for them to organize and express their thoughts? Are they able to formulate complete sentences with appropriate grammar and syntax? We can provide your child with the helpful tools they need to successfully formulate in an organized and effective manner.
Voice Disorders
Does your child’s voice sound hoarse, raspy, breathy, or strained? Does their voice fatigue easily? Is their pitch or vocal volume too low or too high? Do they have vocal fold damage such as nodules or polyps? We can help teach your child proper vocal hygiene techniques to help keep their voice healthy and strong.
Late Talkers
Have you not yet heard your baby babble or explore their voice? Does your toddler become easily frustrated when trying to communicate their basic wants and needs? Is their language developing much slower than other children their age? We can help your child develop more language using play, daily routines, songs, books, and socially motivating interactions.
Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders
Does your child have a tongue thrust, tongue tie, or lip tie? Are they an open-mouth breather? Do they snore or have restless sleep? We can help identify structural obstacles and remediate atypical movement patterns that can negatively impact your child's speech, swallowing, breathing, and sleep.
